This workout starts with upper body movements layered over simple traveling steps to add some cardio to the movements. The next focus is on abs, glutes and thighs. I have some knee issues so I need to make some of these movements more shallow but I can still target the muscles for conditioning. The workout progresses into a combination using simple traveling steps and basic bellydance movements. The combination is repeated on both the right and left sides for a balanced workout. The cooldown contains a variety of deep stretches that feel so good after this workout.

Fahtiem’s graceful presentation makes this workout look easy but you will find that the lower body section is challenging and really targets the muscles to build strength.

Some previous experience with basic bellydance is helpful to know how to execute the movements correctly as this is not a “how-to” video.

The beautiful performance by Fahtiem is an extra treat.

I highly recommend this video to those who have some knowledge of basic bellydance movements. (5 out of 5 rating)
