Customer Review

This program is useful for those who are new to finger cymbals (zills) as well as more experienced dancers who are looking for some fun drills. If you do not yet own a pair of zills you can select from different sizes and metals at Fahtiem’s store (https://fahtiems-shopping-bazaar.sellfy.store/p/signature-zills/).

Fahtiem walks you through the basics, starting with how to wear zills and the sounds made by zills of various sizes and metals. She demonstrates how striking the zills in different ways produces different sounds and suggests which types of dance movements to use with which types of sounds.

You will use two basic rhythm patterns to get the rhythms into muscle memory, playing continuously while moving the arms, wrists and shoulders in a variety of ways. The workout moves on to include ribcage lifts, drops, slides and circles followed by hip bumps, traveling and hip and shoulder shimmies. Fahtiem puts all of these movements together into some fun combinations using a variety of bellydance movements with varying zill patterns and sounds.

The program includes two inspiring performances by Fahtiem dancing while playing the zill patterns featured in the drills.

I highly recommend this video to dancers of all levels who have some knowledge of basic bellydance movements. (5 out of 5 rating)
